The Laboratory of Descriptive Anatomy of the Medical faculty of Athens Kapodistrian University, hosts since 2004 in a special section, a collection of objects that refer to the famous Greek Doctor and Researcher, George Papanicolaou (“Papanicolaou Museum ”).
This collection was donated to the Laboratory of Descriptive Anatomy, by Spyros Marketos, Professor of History of Medicine in Athens Medical Faculty,
The Laboratory considers this donation a great honour and for this reason it granted a specifically shaped space, fulfilling thus Mr Marketos wish for a permanent exposition of objects that refer to the life and work of G. Papanicolaou, in order that t all Greeks get acquainted with his priceless contribution to Science and Humanity.
